Starlink Mesh installation.
Here we have one of our remote location installs where the customer had been struggling with a reliable connection and finally Starlink was available for him.
We installed the Starlink dish up on the chimney due to the trees nearby and fed the cable down to his spare room where the previous 3G internet was, speeds up to 250mbs within 20 mins.
The other problem with the property is that it’s old and has very thick walls and the property is quite a long building and the existing mesh didn’t work well due to the fact that each node was dropping the speed by about half.
We fitted a network switch to the router then installed the first node and put the Starkink into router mode to keep just one mesh network. We then fitted a double rj45 socket fitted to the switch and to external cat6 cables were run to 2 other locations where another socket was fitted then the two remaining mesh nodes were installed. The speed at all nodes are now 250mbs and with it being a mesh network no dropping connection as you move around the property.
